Lemon Ironwood
The Lemon Scented Myrtle is native to Australia but is popularly grown worldwide. It has a lemony fragrance to all its parts, with the foliage being crushed commercially to extract a citrus scented oil.
Lemon Myrtle is reputed to have both antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic properties. A good herb for colds, high in anti-oxidants and
rendering the blood less sticky. The tea is lightly aromatic and evokes
the feeling of the Australian bush and Billy tea.
