Organic Slippery Elm Bark powder is a highly nutritious dietary additive to porridge, breakfast cereals or smoothies.It contains calcium compounds that are easily assimilated and ideal for the growing bones and teeth of children, or the frail and depleted bones of the aged.Slippery Elm contributes mucilage to the intestines making it a therapeutic soothing supplement for conditions such as diarrhoea, wind, bloating, sore raw mucous membranes and ulcerations, gently calming a distressed digestive tract. This powder can be taken by adding one teaspoon to water or juice and stirring briskly, although it may not dissolve. Alternatively it can be mixed with food such as yoghurt, honey, custard or banana, or sprinkled over breakfast cereal or used in a smoothie.
